Baked bananas with 3 ingredients

Baked bananas are the perfect, healthy dessert. They taste decadent, like bananas with no butter and extra calories.

Baked Bananas

I love the simplicity of this baked banana recipe, which is a great way to use up ripe bananas. Sprinkled with honey and cinnamon, the bananas smell fantastic when baked. They are perfect for desserts, snacks or even for breakfast. Deliciously served with whipped cream, fro-yo, chopped nuts or oatmeal. Try Banana Foster Crepes, Banana Zucchini Cake, and Banana Nut Bread for more ways in which to consume ripe bananas.

Baked bananas with ice.

These bananas are so creamy and decadent – you'll swear they contain butter! Besides the bananas, there are only two other ingredients: honey and cinnamon. The more mature the better for this recipe! Cover the bananas with cinnamon and honey, cover with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes. As simple as that! I like to serve them with a small halo top or whipped cream, but completely optional.

Because bananas are naturally sweet, they are an excellent choice for a healthy dessert. They are high in potassium, which plays an important role in reducing the risk of high blood pressure and stroke. Bananas are also rich in vitamins B6 and C.
